LaGlam Minerals recently attended the first EVER Brisbane Hair and Beauty expo, held at the Brisbane Convention and exhibition centre. LaGlam Minerals was welcomed with open arms and loved by all that tried our products and was just about a complete sell out after the first 6 hours having to re vitalize the display shelves with lots more LaGlam goodness before day 2! Not only did LaGlam Minerals take off at the Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo but… LaGlam Minerals creator and founder Amanda La Monica was given the prestigious opportunity to showcase her many years of make up, bridal and beauty talent  by  being featured on the Spotlight stage, this is where Amanda truly belongs! She was a natural and did an amazing job! Amanda showcased her bridal talents on the lovely model by using her LaGlam Minerals range and captured the many audience with her timeless bridal look.

LaGlam would  not only like to extend a big warm welcome to all our NEW stockists but to the hundreds more who purchased LaGlam Minerals over the two day event, we here at LaGlam Minerals love our job so much because not only do we get to play with the best make up but all the amazing beautiful and kind people we encounter on the way! What a hectic couple of weeks we have had here at LaGlam Minerals!!! With re-vamped packs & colours along with attending Salon Melbourne! We have had no time to rest and have hit the ground running since landing back in Sydney.

Summer is definitely still here (well maybe not this week with this rain but it will be again!) and today I’m going to be giving you some tips on how to help keep your makeup in place! Welcome to the NEW YEAR! I hope all you LaGlam Lovers out there tried our easy step smoky eye? Now that we have said goodbye to 2014 and given 2015 a well deserved welcome party we are excited to see what NEW makeup trends are going to hit us this year? Now we all know that Smoky eyes, full defined brows, highlighting and contouring were all the rage last year! I know we are still very early into the new year and I personally still love all those 3 makeup trends but I must say I am super excited to see what is going to lead us in makeup this year, if it will change? Or perhaps still stay the same?

I love to change things up makeup wise and as a makeup artist I love to try new things! For instance mixing lip colours! Apply LaGlam Minerals “First Date” lipstick and just a touch of “Flirt” from LaGlams’ Gold collection lipsticks, two very different colours both gorgeous but once mixed they create such an amazing shade almost like the perfect nude with a peachy pink tone! AMAZING!!

Something else I like to do to enhance my highlighting is conceal under the eye area with a shade that is two times lighter than the skin colour! That then sets the base for a more lighter look under my foundation, and then keeping it more of a matte look instead of using a highlighter as such that has a shimmer. I’m usually a Waikiki 04 shade so I like to use my LaGlam Minerals Foto-Finish powder in Malibu 02 in this under eye area. This look I find works excellent with someone who has a lot of little lines around the eye area.  SO while we wait for the next big thing why not try experimenting with your makeup.
